So.. an update on how AWA went...
A little disappointed in my friends that shared the table with me. There was a lot of issues that in the end worked out but I want to bitch about it for a moment. I had tried so hard to make them understand that there was a 50/50 selling fanart rule, that half your stuff could be fanart but the rest of it had to be original. Aleisha's was more of 60 fanart/ 40 original, and Nisha's.... was more like 90 fanart/ 10 original. Thankfully we had glowsticks and earrings. I Think the directors came only to our table saying something about this rule because they thought we only had fanart and I guess now I can't really blame them for saying it to us. I just wish that of all those there, that they could have said something to others, or before claiming we had mostly fanart to actually look through our stuff. We were selling stuff for the first time, so I mean, trying to learn something here. I think next time giving how the rules go, I'm just going to have to be more strict with my friends because it was ridiculous. As for how the table display went.. I love Nisha, she can be such an awesome friend and a good artist, but damnit I don't think she thinks things through sometimes. Me and Aleisha didn't ask for her to pay anything for sharing the table, but she didnt even offer us anything for it either. And before AWA she even whined and bitched cause she had to pay for a badge, she thought that was free too even though I told her it wasn't. Then in the artist alley, the tables are 2 feet by 8 feet right? She took up half the damn table for herself! And even though I tried to  make it more split in to threes, she still managed to push everything back over. I had next to no room to set up for my necklaces until she sold a lot of her stickers. She didnt offer any money for food we bought, though I didnt ask for any money and we ended up not being able to eat half of it cause there was no friggin microwave or fridge in the hotel room. We were on the 12th floor under the Club level =[ and no microwave. And a 1 cup coffee pot.

Buuut all in all despite things I had a pretty good time. I met many artists and friends from deviantart, and I met a few furry/kin whatever you wanna call them xD Xakep the dolphin, Draydic the dragon and some asshole that was with them. They totally made my day Saturday, coming all the way to Atlanta from AL just to see me. =] And Draydic was actually from Virginia and was visiting Xakep when he decided to come. I had three guys stalk me and follow me around for half the day, and until aobut 2am xD We skipped the rave (cause it was lame) and sat near the staircase just talking while I waited for my irl friends to come out of the rave. I got hugged ;; and pictures were taken of me on Saturday because me and Nisha were wearing Team Rocket outfits selling pokemon pictures... apparently that was funny. xD Watched some extrememly amusing moments with people in cosplay outfits and otherwise.

As a side note to whoever on my friendslist that watches FMA 8DD The room I stayed in at the hotel was a floor below, and diagonal from Vic (voice actor of Edward Elric) and we got to see him come out of his room xD Nisha gave him one of her pictures of Ed that she did, and he personally came by our table Sunday (I wasn't at the table, I was stuck wandering around the Dealers room) to sign another one for her since she wasnt able to get an autograph Saturday.

Sooo the conclusion of this trip: AWA seems to be one of those things where its better to just go and enjoy yourself, than to sell your artwork. The directors were rather rude to us for the most part, though in the end apologized for having accused us so quickly. We learned that in the future, to have better displays, that simply having folders of our artwork is not good enough. We met and made friends with fellow deviants. I met a longtime net friend Xakep and got hugs (I love me some hugs), and then later huge compliments of being so much more cuter and beautiful than pictures and webcams ever showed me to be x3 Though they also pointed out how short I was x3 and how quiet my voice was. Can't help that guys xD

But mostly glad to have met and seen such awesome people, and come out of my shell. I actually feel really good about myself now. I didnt sell so much as I wanted, but I gained so much more. Including a starfruit plushie x3 <3

Bewaaaare, I purposely spam you with pictures >:3  Top one is of the earrings and such that we're making for AWA, and the bottom is the picture for Kia that I'm pretty much done with :E draggin ooon way too long now.

This is all of the earrings that we made in one day. No its not that much (18 sets of earrings) but considering that it was only me and Aleisha, not too very bad for 4-5 hours.
   
Soot Spirits! From Spirited Away, these lil buddies are adorable, and was also my idea, the eyes were my suggestion and luckily Aleisha had some to use. As well as lil  candy stars that we sealed over. 
          
Strawberry Pocky, with the salmon sushi that Aleisha tried out. I think it needs to be a tad bit darker red/orange than pink, but it was a tryout and she loves them. I personally love the pocky. If only my ears were pierced. 
        
One of Naruto's villians are known as the Akatsuki, featuring members such as Itachi, and Deidara, Sasori, Pein Hiden, etc. Below features the Akatsuki's cloud, and symbols of their names (or Kanji as Aleisha calls them) for each of the 9 members.            
 Last but not least, a random picture of Aleisha's cats, Soot (bottom) and Chevy (top). Chevy is one of Soot's kittens, and they are more than likely our mascots fot the time being. Since while we were making the earrings, both especially Chevy have chased around the beads that we accidently dropped on the floor.
        

And now for Kia! There are some spots that will more or less bother me into fixing, but she is pretty much finished. x,x
And I am going to post it on FA... though right now I'm wondering if I should post it on DA or not since she is naked and all.

Urg.... birthdays are getting rougher on me to handle, at least mentally, I try not to act older cause I dont really want to be older
But oh well... got a present from a friend in texas thats awesome, mostly gems and precious stones and a small bottle of pure silver which I love to death... pictures from where he lives and a necklace. Parents got me a new cellphone thats a red flipphone that is absolutely awesome... has a camera and web browsing and for once I wont drain its battery because my old one wasnt a flip and the key lock never worked on it.

Mmm..... *shrug* I dont feel older but I'm sooooo tired... party on Saturday night with friends, Aleisha's getting nervous because Eric's brother just posted a blog on his myspace inviting people, so... we'll see how many odd new people show up lol. I bet he did it on purpose, making it a big deal cause I'm 21 now

A WIP of a non-dragon commission. Yeeeah she's an anthro fox XD and no, once I get approval, I'll be removing the lines. I chose to use lines this time because I suck at anthro/humans and in general, anything thats not a dragon lol
So... yes.... I'm getting there. I dunno yet if clothes are deseired, so I didnt really go into much detail. We'll see right?

Annnd.... I have less than a week til my birthday. I'll be 21. Am excited. Also I have found out something horrible. I went to a halloweenish party on tuesday night, and experienced HunchPunch. I come home, looked it up to see what all was in it. Everclear is in it. I asked my sister if she's had it (the one that used to drink a LOT) and she said no, she was afraid of it because its like 95 proof. Ahem.... I had two cups of hunchpunch and ate a lot of the fruit in it, and was only slightly buzzed over it. Amazing, how everyone else was drunk xD That party amused me.... and Aleisha's boyfriend's brother had to do a dare, to kiss someone and he almost jumped over the table to get at me even though the person he was supposed to kiss was sitting next to where he was.
Hilarious.
He ended up passing out in the floor, and got doodled on.

and I can't wait if it is :3 I want to finish commissions I have, and then get some moooore

Been working, have a looksie

I believe I am about done with this one, finished up on markings, fixed some things that Venomeye suggested (was no problem for me, mind you) And I also created new watermarks! The picture is sporting them here


And another Commission that I'm working on 8D As a lot of you have already seen once lol but yus its a commission. Uuuhmm... mostly all I gotta do is finish Meko, add their tails, aaand put some more highlights and shadows on the tree and grass. Not too hard, if I keep working on it, I should be done in a couple of days or so.

Oh and guys, my sister is officially married now. The wedding started off a mess cause of delays, but in the end it was all ok. I got so many compliments about how pretty I looked, and how nice I looked in my dress, and I am so very proud of how I kept my cool and didnt lose it, and how well behaved Lexi was during the whole ceremony. Especially when she walked down the walkway with me, and compared to her other lil cousin thats slightly younger than her. I'll go into detail tomorrow maybe. I'm exhausted.

Almost dooooone... Because of the color differences between my laptop and desktop computer, I'll have to go back and change the color for like...say.... the yellow in the sky, its supposed to be much lighter. Especially on the clouds, I mean wow how did that happen.

Also, another WIP, that'll probably need to be lightened and such when I finish...Mekolai is a bit too dark for my liking, and the other character looks a little off...he's supposed to be silver xD lol



Anyway there you go. I'm sorry I havent been online so much, my dad's changed the locks on the door to this room, for those that havent heard, so I'm not online so much. Honestly I don't mind the change, in a way I see now how damn addicted I was to being online all of the time, and how being off of it gives me a chance to relaaaax and do other things. Like playing Zelda. Or talking to my mom about me cooking more often, and cleaning up around the house more without ruuushing back here. I'm really needing to get a job x.x if anyone wants to commission me feel free to. The one of me and my friend only took two days of about 6 hours total, just so everyone knows I use my boredom to work on my art x3

So apparently Sear's not giving me a straight answer when I asked his opinion of the picture, so I'm just posting it here to ask others for an opinion. I'm still sorting out the shading on her body before I put things like markings and her eye on, and deciding if the overall lighting is too dark. the light source is for once, not where the viewer is. My main attempt was not to show too much detail in the wings >.> and I'm not done with the fur on her tail, or around the neck (I forgot about that) Just so you guys know xD this has been a fairly irritating commission, its taking too long for my liking, though I blame the art blocks, but still... I may or may not change the color of the sky... I probably shouldnt.

Oh and by the way, art thieves suck, and those people that posts dragon pictures from a lot of dragon artists, and dont say who it's by, regardless of age, suck too. But mostly right now I'm a bit pissy cause I found my colored version of Upwind on someone's blog, with their watermark on it.

Suppose I'll be putting more watermarkage on my stuff. As well as making obvious statements to not post my stuff anywhere else, unless they have my permission.
